Meant to Be (Part Thirty)

bas i wont be able to post until next weekend because im really busy this week..

The next couple of days went by quickly, we had fun, swimming lessons, cooking together, building sand castle competitions (I always cheated but not once did I win; we would send pictures to people without mentioning whose is which, and her castle would always have the tiniest beautiful details, so it always won). We spent time watching movies, talking, and basically just relaxing.

Today is our last day here, we were packing our stuff and getting ready to leave. I finished packing since I didn't bother much and just threw everything inside the bag and closed it.

I went to help her out. She was carefully folding every single piece of clothing and separating them according to the color. I rolled my eyes as I took a seat next to her and watched.

"Tara ma ra7 n5ale9 chithee.." I told her.

"Imbala.. ma buga shay.." she replied.

"Inzain.. why don't you finish quickly so we can have one last swim before we go.."
I asked her.

"Ok, inshallah.. why don't you help?" She said.

"I will just throw everything in, I don't have the patience to fold everything.." I told her.

"La2 5ala9.. I will do it on my own then.." She said quickly.

I laughed and continued watching her fold everything neatly.

As she was folding, I noticed a red thing in a plastic bag. Just out of curiosity, I
took it out. It was a swimming suit.

"Shai5a.." I said suspiciously. "Shno hatha?"

"Um... a swimming suit.." She gulped.

"W laish tgooleen ma 3ndich 3ayal?" I asked surprised.

"Bas.." She replied.

"Bas?.." I asked.

"M7ammad.. look at the swimming suit please.. it's so small.. doesn't cover anything.. ya3ny do you seriously expect me to wear this in front of you?" She said quickly, without looking at me.

She kept folding her clothes, until she finished. I put the swimming suit in the bed with my shorts and helped her close the bag.

"Yalla..let's go swim, we still have about two hours before the boat comes.." I told her. "Go change.." I told her as I threw the red swimming suit at her.

"I am not wearing this M7ammad!" She exclaimed.

"Yes you are.." I said as I took off my shirt and threw it on the bed.

She turned around, and I left to change into my shorts.

"Laish leel7een ma badaltay!!!" I asked when I came back, and saw her sitting on the
bed, with the swimming suit in her hand.

"Ma ra7 albesa.. and I already closed my bag and I'm not opening it again.. and I
don't feel like swimming.." She replied.

"It's our last day.. you are not going to swim again in god knows how many ages.. come on.." I said.

"M7amad.. I'm not going to wear this .." She said in reply.

"You are.. walla if I don't see you changed in two minutes.. tshoofeen.." I said as I left the room, trying not laugh.

Two minutes later she came out with a towel wrapped around her and she was wearing my shirt.

"First of all .. go take off my shirt because I will wear that to the airport.. and come back quickly..and I really hope you are wearing that swimming suit so I don't have to deal with you the hard way.. " I told her as I smiled.

She went to change.. and came back, holding the towel tightly with both hands.

We went outside, and I sat on the shore and she sat beside me.

"Whenever you are ready you know.." I said as I stared ahead.

"M7ammad.." She said, in a soft voice. I almost told her to go wear my shirt, do whatever she wanted, and come back. I actually never liked my name more. But she has to let go of some of her habits, ma y9eer tisti7y minny.

"Il7een intay laish moo 3ajbich?.. Don't you like the color red.. you said that it was your favorite color.. 3ayal what's the problem?" I asked.

"It's too revealing.." She said, on the verge of crying.

"It's not.. believe me.. I've seen worse!" I said sarcastically.

"Na3am??" She said, raising her eyebrows surprised with an angry expression.

"What?.. I studied in the States.. ya3ny basically whenever you go to the beach.. or whenever it's a hot day you see naked people everywhere.." I said.

She looked away, still annoyed.

"Ok.. why are you mad now?" I asked.

She still didn't look at me.

"It's not like I was purposely looking, they just walk in front of you.." I continued.

She stood up suddenly, threw her towel and started pacing in front of me, madly.

It was too much for me to handle, just too much.

"Ya3ny shno? They just walk in front of you.. chithee.." She said as she stood in front of me, crossing her arms angrily. "And then you look at them like this, like you are looking at me right now.. and you say you were not looking?" She said crossly.

I stood up and held her hand forcefully.

"I never looked at anyone the way I look at you.." I said.

I could feel all her anger evaporating as I looked into her eyes. She looked down embarrassed after a while.

"Are you ok?" I asked concerned, she was usually really calm. It was her first outburst really.

"Yeah.. sorry.." She replied quietly.

I hugged her, and she was shivering slightly. I hugged her closer and waited for her to get back to normal.

"Are you sure you are ok?" I asked again.

"yeah.. I guess" She replied.

"Do you want to tell me anything?" I said.

"Not really.. it's just .. nothing really.." She said as she blushed.

"Aha.. I get it.. no worries yalla.. I've seen worse.." I said.

She stared at me again.

"No no .. my bad .. I haven't seen worse walla.." I replied quickly.

She laughed as we made our way to the beach.

I stared at her, unbashful, as she pretended to look in the other direction.

Her swimming suit was red, as I already mentioned. It covered the chest area, but more than half of her back was showing. Her arms were showing, and almost all her thighs too. I should be okay with it, it should be nothing, I should not be affected.. I kept repeating in my head.

"Can you stop.. please.." She said after a while.

"No.. my eyes can't have enough of you.." I replied still looking.

She looked for her towel, but I caught her in time, stopping her from getting it.

"I am your husband you know.." I told her.

"yalla m7amaaaad.." She said as she hurried towards the water, pulling me with her.

We swam for about half an hour, then she stopped complaining that her back was
starting to burn from the sun and that she felt tired.

"What?.. we usually swim for two hours and you don't complain.." I said surprised.

"I'm just tired M7ammad.. w '6ahry y3awerny" She said as she pouted.

"Come here.." I said as I carried her.

Of course she threw a fit and asked me to put her down, and so on, but I ignored her as I made my way inside.

I threw a towel on the couch.

"Yalla namay 3ala ba6nich.." I told her.

"No way.." She replied.

"Yalla.." I said.

"Noo.." She said as she moved away from me.

"Ta3alay.." I said as I carried her and put her on the couch.

"M7ammad.. walla I'm not in the mood for any of this.." She said as she squirmed
under me.

"Intay namay 3ala ba6nich.. I swear you will like it.." I told her sincerely.

Hesitantly, I did.

He started massaging my back and I literally melted in my place, on the couch, and I think I even died.

Even though he was being totally professional, I couldn't help thinking about his
touch on my bare back.

I felt more relaxed and much better afterwards.

When he finished, he kissed my back softly.

"Yalla.. go change so we don't get late.." He said.

"Thank you.." I replied with a smile.

"Anytime.. as long as you are wearing a red swimming suit.." He winked, and left to change.

We went back, to the original hotel.

We were supposed to stay one week on the private island only. But it was not as bad as I thought, so I called my sisters a week ago and told them to extend our stay, and we ended up in the island the whole time.

After checking out and finalizing everything, we headed to the airport.
We were both equally tired, so the trip back to Kuwait was uneventful, we slept, watched some movies, chatted for a while.

Finally, we are back to Kuwait.
